OUR STORY
At Dulcinea, every pastry tells the story of Monse Barrita, a baker inspired by her family’s heritage and the rich culinary traditions of her parents’ homeland. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant flavors and unique dishes of Oaxaca, Monse developed a deep appreciation for the region’s diverse food culture.
Her passion for baking led her to reach out to a friend from Oaxaca, who taught her the craft of baking traditional bread. Over time, Monse learned the cherished recipes passed down through generations, which became the foundation of Dulcinea.
The name Dulcinea was given to Monse by a quirky landlord, inspired by Don Quixote de la Mancha. For Monse, the bakery is more than just a business-it’s a muse that continually fuels her creativity and passion for sharing authentic flavors that many may not have tried before but are sure to love.
We aim to bring the warmth and comfort of our pastries to every customer, whether visiting us in person or enjoying our treats from home. Each bite is a reflection of Monse’s journey-a celebration of family, tradition, and the joy of introducing new, unforgettable flavors to those who are ready to try something different.
